After packing up and checking out of our rental house, we headed over Point Lobos. It was a very pretty area, with lots of interesting rock formations. The morning had dawned foggy, but it pushed off-shore while we were there, though you could see the fog bank in the distance.

Very pretty. Beautiful pics. How was your experience with house rentals VS hotels? Better cost?
I’m not sure about the cost. I think it was overall comparable. The two houses we stayed in were beautiful. The first overlooked a canyon and had plenty of space, a hot tub and a ping pong table. The second was a “treehouse”– built on pilings above the ground, very modern, very nice, aside from the fact that the windows had no shades. I was in a room with a bed and a desk, which made things easier for posting here.
