I spent the afternoon in the kayak paddling up-river from Newton. It was the first time I did that stretch in my own boat, launching from the parking lot side of the river rather than starting off in a rental from the boathouse. The weather was gorgeous– warm enough in the sun, clear, and bright, and I decided to risk the Nikon in the new kayak, partly in order to use the zoom lens, and partly to be able to use the polarizing filter to bring out the color.
The foliage is still a little bit ahead of peak down here, but I had a blast shooting foliage from the river.
