Last evening, at sunset, I took a drive up to Seru Largu, a mountain overlook in the center of the island. There’s a big monument up there, and from there, you can look out over the whole island.
The view was breathtaking, and it was so quiet and peaceful up there. To the south southwest, I could see a rain shower pouring over Kralendjik and Klein Bonaire, while to the west, I could see the sun setting.
I stayed just long enough to see the sun touch the sea. I would have liked to have stayed for the entire sunset, but I was uncertain about the route back, and we had dinner reservations I didn’t want to be late for.
I got a little lost on the way back, but I got back in time, and the trip was totally worth it.
