Despite the clouds and mist, I went kayaking along the Charles today. I headed downstream against a fairly stiff breeze out of Charles River Canoe and Kayak in Newton. I made it as far as the old Waltham Watch Factory before deciding I was tired of fighting the wind.
Along the way, I saw a number of swans, a bunch of canadian geese, ducks, and the fiberglass animals that one of the homeowners has deployed along the way. I brought the G12 along with me, in the underwater housing to protect it from drips (or worse).

Nice shots! That swans sleep afloat is a revelation (Okay, who ever thought about it?)
